Turbine Inspection, Maintenance & Evaluation (TIME©)
This popular course covers all GE model series, with particular emphasis on the frame size of the majority of the attendees. Disassembly techniques, inspection, repair practices, correct mechanical re-assembly and other maintenance practices are covered. Subjects like alignment, bolt torquing, proper lifting and rigging. A special session called “When bad things happen to good turbines” is always a highlight of the PAL seminar. Charlie Pond and Al Shuman are the instructors.

Course #2:
Troubleshooting And Problem Solving (TAPS©)
This recently presented course focuses on common problems that frequently arise on GE gas turbines regarding operation, auxiliary (fluid) systems, controls and mechanical. Typical problems known to occur during start-up, operation and shutdown of the gas turbine have been identified and solved by PAL Engineers. Dave Lucier will lead the discussions, with occasional involvement by Charlie Pond and Al Shuman. Systems maintenance practices and procedures also will be covered.
Problems generic to most GE model series and Speedtronic™ control systems will be addressed.
